When Georgia & Rupert first contacted me to tell me all about their wedding day plans, I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! As a photographer, I dream of meeting couples who choose stunning country venues like Stanway House – Tithe Barn, and so it was safe to say, I was extremely happy they picked me to be a part of their special day.
As time went on, I could see Georgia had a very clear vision of what her wedding was going to entail, and each time we met, she would excitedly update me on the plans.
We met a few times before the big day and on the venue visit, I asked them both what their colour scheme was going to be. (In my head, I was praying for white, white and more white.) When Georgia answered that she didn’t want a single colour except white, I wanted to hug her, although I didn’t, and managed to keep my cool as they showed me around the rest of Stanway House and eventually into Tithe Barn. Set In Gloucestershire, and surrounded by the most beautiful country side, for those of you wanting an intimate location with everything in one place, this is the perfect venue for you.
The barn itself is actually situated within the grounds of Stanway House and is surrounded by beautiful greenery and a huge pond. This venue also has its own meadow and fountain, although I was not there late enough in the evening to see this being turned on.
Georgia chose to get ready at her parents house in Stratford-Upon-Avon and I’m so glad she did as this house was absolutely amazing and perfect for her bridal party shots.
The bouquet, which was made by Rose from Rose Hamson Flowers, consisted of various simple but pretty flowers including Quicksand roses and Duchess de nemo peonies. The bridesmaids wore Gypsophila flower crowns which, combined with lose hair, looked simply stunning.
The ceremony itself was held in St Peter’s Church next to Stanway House, which is a beautiful, intimate building that looked amazing with all the candles Georgia & Rupert had lit. We had previously all been slightly worried that the church may be quite dark on the day but actually it was perfect.
For the entire day we were blessed with glorious sunshine which meant all of the guests could take full advantage of the outdoor space this venue offers. I am so happy they picked me to capture their special day and I look forward to returning to this venue in the future!
